     This main programme develops effective communication and fluency by focusing on the four main skills:

     listening, speaking, reading and writing, as well as grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

     Students will follow a course book plus supplementary course material.

     Students on a General Student Visa (Tier 4) must study 15 hours (20 lessons) or more.

   IELTS Exam Preparation 

     This class prepares students for the exam by focusing on the following skills: essay writing, fluent and

     accurate speaking, describing and interpreting graphs and charts and practice in reading and writing.                        

     Candidates must complete an IELTS Entry Test before being accepted on the programme and      

     should expect to do homework in the evening.

     Length: 1-36 weeks                                  Start date: Any Monday

 Cambridge ESOL Examinations (FCE, CAE, CPE)

    These courses focus on Cambridge Examinations PET, FCE, CAE, CPE. The exam classes provide an

    in-depth study of all aspects of General English plus guidance on exam technique.

    Candidates must complete an Exam Entry Test before starting the course and should expect to do more

    homework in the evenings.

 Business English

    A task-based programme designed for professionals who use English in their work and wish to increase their

    confidence and fluency for social and business purposes. Business language skills practised include                

    telephoning, negotiating, making presentations and writing reports in English.

  English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

    The EAP course focuses instruction on skills required to perform extremely well in an English-speaking

    academic context generally encountered in a university setting. It focuses on improving your academic skills,

    such as writing essays, giving presentations and participating in seminars.

 Trinity Graded Exams in Spoken English

    The Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE) are useful to show evidence of your speaking and listening

    skills. The GESE is different to Cambridge ESOL and IELTS exams because there is no reading or writing

    paper. Instead, each candidate has a short speaking test with a registered examiner. The results are available

    on the day of the exam and the certificates are sent a few weeks after. The GESE at grade 2 is a UKBA-  

    approved exam for spouse/settlement visa applicants.

    Our 1 to 1 courses offer you your own private tutor with a focus on your preferred learning methods and personalised

    course programme.

    Focus on pronunciation, listening, grammar, note-taking, business and work situations. The lessons can even

    be geared around subject matter which interests you.

  Conversation and Pronunciation

    Our English for Conversation and Pronunciation courses are designed for students who want to express

    themselves more fluently and clearly in spoken English.

    Discussion subjects for developing conversational skills include current affairs, education, life in the UK, attitudes and

    beliefs, relationships and global problems.

    Teaching focuses on different aspects of English pronunciation, including intonation, stress patterns and

    individual sounds.
